Drunk Driving

Drunk driving is not a joke and if you are caught and arrested, you may be in a very tough situation, one that could leave you owing a ton of money and may land you in jail. The reality is that when you can convicted of a DUI, it not only goes on your record for a great deal of time, causing you increased insurance costs and limiting the work you can do professionally, but you may have to pay up to ten thousand dollars in fines. You may also have to go to jail or be put on probation, as well as attend DUI classes, which can cost a great deal of money and usually go on for a period of six months to a year. This is all a massive amount of punishment and it can come from simply having one too many drinks and getting behind the wheel.

Beating a Case

There are, however, many times that a person is charged with a DUI, when they were not drunk. Sometimes an officer will give a person a sobriety test on the side of the road and will arrest them for a DUI, which leads to them being charged, and the entire process was based on the officers perception that the individual was drunk. In these cases, you have an incredibly strong chance of getting the case thrown out, especially if you were tested by a breathalyzer or had your blood drawn later and it came out that you were under the limit. This will show that the police offer that made the arrest was incorrect in his assumption that you were intoxicated and this could mean that the entire case gets thrown out. This is the outcome you want to have, so get yourself a San Diego DUI attorney.
