There is a small percentage of adults who act on their own behalf and make this poor decision to get behind the wheel as well but not anywhere near as much as teenagers do. Driving laws will change frequently for teens to reduce accidents and provide safety measures for most states so they can lower their teenage accidental rates due to driving under the influence.

To prevent any serious medical conditions and accidents along the way it is always good to have a designated driver when planning to become under the influence of any substances. A designated driver is someone who attends any occasion with you but stays completely sober the whole time and attempts to return everyone home safely and without any problems. Another way to avoid driving under the influence is to simply not go anywhere. Stay where you are until you sober up enough to go. Normally it takes the average person about twelve to twenty-four hours to sober up enough and be aware of their surroundings. This usually depends on a person’s substance intake and their average body weight. The absolute best way to avoid driving while intoxicated is to simply not intoxicate you. This would prevent so many accidents and injuries across the world and save so many lives.
